Lots of Dead People

Happy New Year.  Let's celebrate by talking about some people who died near the end of last year.

Okay, we're gonna do these all at once, considering that there's a lot of them.  Most of them either have someone else to end or continue their blog, so most didn't go up as reports, but here's what we've got.

Maduin the Jester: We're pretty sure he's dead, but as no one in Poland is connected to us, we haven't been able to get them to cooperate and send a report.  What's already been posted by Sopia on his own blog is about all we're getting.  Maduin seemed like a pretty cool guy.  Had a strange sense of humor.  I guess he was a big deal or something.

Lucas and Joel: They seemed like pretty cool people, really.  At least they understood that the side you're on has no relationship to your morality.  Some chick (or dude, maybe?  I'm not really sure) called Ember Fay provided a pretty good report of what happened.

Michael or Nemo or whoever he is: Died at Hope or something.  I think.  I didn't keep very good notes, just wrote down the name.  Never even really knew the guy.  I should...look into that more.  Write a report or something maybe.

UPDATE: Turns out I was wrong.  Got the note in the "Confirmed Dead" file instead of the "Believed Dead" one.  We've got no confirmation on this.

Ava: Yeah, this is a blast from the past, isn't it?  Well, we kept tabs on her, even after she decided that she was going to not say anything to any of you anymore, and now that she's dead, we don't have to anymore!  Always nice to see some closure.  Frankly, I thought she was a bit of an arrogant bitch, but I guess she was pretty important to some of you guys.

Konaa: Can't be completely sure yet, but I think he's probably dead.  Or was dead.  And then he undied (I fucking hate it when they do that), just so he could die again on the Solstice.  Showoff.  Anyway, he seemed pretty cool.  Didn't know him too well.  Mostly just remember him as the guy who stabbed Nee-chan, which I really can't object to, considering that it was in self defense.  Gotta give him props for that, actually, after having seen those videos of her in action.

UPDATE: Nope, sorry.  Apparently he survived his near-death experience.  Konaa's still alive.

Beast: There's a report coming for him.  Eventually.  Curious fellow, really.

UPDATE: Here's the report.

Anyway, I think that's everyone.  I'll get them added to the List.  I've got...another post to go up soon, but I need to get my head back on straight before I can write it up.  But soon.

  1. Messenger. Michael did not die there. He left and disappeared. Last I heard was he'd finished giving away everything he cared about and was waiting either to lose his mind and go slendercrazy permanently or possibly kill himself. I'm not sure. I'd actually quite appreciate it if you did look into that.

Konaa did not come back from the dead. Those last few posts are Rise. Not Konaa. Just saying.

  2. Your reports are suffering in light of recent events, huh? Even I've got some of these details straighter than you do...

  3. Hey, Elaine, how about you pay me enough to care.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hey Messi, it's your job to get this shit right. So technically, your Jacob is paying you to care. Idiot.

  5. I care about
    the ones who
    died though.

    I know that
    others care
    about those
    who died too.

  6. You're getting lazy. Hell, I could probably have done a better job. That's sad, considering I haven't given a good god damn about anyone not in my home for the last month. Is something... distracting you? Or, rather.. someone. Your little Husk still showing up with bruises and lies?

  7. Cut him some slack, it's not like anyone else is trying to do something like this.

  8. Based on these comments, I'd say just making this an open source project could be fruitful. Messenger could still be the hacker who informs readers of deaths. That takes actual talent. Keeping track of who has died and the facts of the deaths, though, might be better left to the community as a whole.

  9. Yes, but it is his job, as Elaine said. That's what Slendy wants him for, yet he fucks up the details? Who does that when their life and livelihood are at stake?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Assuming Slendy actually wants him for anything, then it's the hacking. Which, as I said, would be left to him. And there's no way of stopping him from continuing to be an incompetent reporter (or is that redundant?). I just think something which could be contributed to by all might be more useful and correct.

  11. I doubt that it's Slendy who needs him. It's Eternity who heads the operation. This would explain the human motive - what does Slendy care about hacking blogs when he knows every thought in your head?

  12. I'm actually with Ben on this one, if Messenger isn't going to be able to fill his role as well as he could in the beggining, due to his impressive accumliation of personal drama, then someone might as well start a collaberative blog made exclusively as a kind of online cemetary for these people. Each person could get their own post, written by someone who actually knew all the circumstances surrounding their deaths and actually cared about their passing. After all the dead have sacreficed I'd say it's the least they deserve.

  13. That would require both sides to work together, not kill each other, get along, and actually stop infighting long enough to tell the truth for the sake of the 'verse.

-bursts out laughing- Riiight! Like that's going to happen any time soon.

  14. Look, I'm a pessimist too, but I really think you're dismissing this too soon. All that would be required is a few moderators, semi-reasonable people from both sides who don't take offense to recognition of the dead. I don't see why anybody would take offense to that, but since you're all completely mental, it's possible.
And in any case, you can't kill people through the internet, not directly anyway.

  15. Actually.. you know what, you may have something there. Fine. I'm in a somewhat less bitchy mood on this day, but I'm less tech-savvy than our little hacker here. I'd be willing to have a hand helping with this, maybe even more if I had some help that DID know what the fuck they were doing.

You want to have the sides get along, fine. Just don't get upset if it isn't easy. Ben, if you really think something like it could work, what would you suggest to start with?

  16. I'd be down. I seem to know too many people who die these days. Might as well do some good.

  17. It might do to note that Mr. Reynolds does not appear to be deceased. I'm sure he would apologize for the trouble.

  18. Sorry to say, but I wouldn't apologize for not being dead. ^.^

  19. If anybody wants to discuss that fantastic idea of mine, you can do so in comments on my blog (http://actuallyablog.blogspot.com/) instead of Messenger's. Because standing in somebody's house and talking about how you're going to take over half of it is a bit rude.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Tried. It won't let me comment.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Oh and it might actually become a thing, fantastic.

Is it rude, hang on let me check.

Messenger do you mind us discusing this here?

  23. Mhmmm, all of you.. contact me, I need to tell you something. Emails?

  24. One blog detailing your tragedies isn't enough for you people? Leave the dead to their own devices, why would you all be so egear to see reminders of who you failed to protect.

  25. I'll be updating the reports some (incidentally, the "believed dead" section of the list was created specifically for assholes like Damien and Konaa who decide that they're too fucking good for death), and looking into the situation with Michael.

Apologies for my reports suffering during the holiday season. It's partially my fault, partially the fault of the people getting me the information, who have also been slacking during the holidays. We've been busy. You know, spending time with the hivemind, decorating our trees with internal organs, having gift exchanges (strangely, there wasn't a single present that wasn't a mask)...the like.

Anyway, if you guys want to start your own eulogy blog with blackjack and hookers, go right ahead. It's not my job. Like I said, I don't get paid to care. If Jacob was paying me to actually care, it wouldn't be near fucking enough. I get paid to hack blogs and say "this person's dead." No one's making me post any sort of report or reflections on my own blog, and the list is for my sake as much as anyone else's.

But yeah, feel free to start your Deathparty Blog Of Eulogism and Respects. I'm just gonna keep doing my own thing here: getting reports, hacking blogs, and confirming deaths. If you want to remember those days of Auld Lang Syne, be my fucking guests. If any of you guys want to send me, you know, actual first-hand reports directly to help me out a bit (if you don't mind helping "THE ENEMY"), you know my e-mail (shootingthemessenger@hotmail.com) and can ask for my Skype. I'm not going to discourage it. I'm not going to be helping you out, though. At least not more than that guy whose book you read helped you out with your dissertation.

Anyway, things have calmed down and the research I needed to do is wrapping up. I've got time to work on a post of the events of New Years Eve now (which I've asked for Poe's permission to post), so that should be up in the next few days.

  26. Expect to hear from me regarding Mr. Johannes. I can only imagine the biased reportage that Ms. Logan could potentially provide.
